Residents and jury favour the same four designs for Helsinki’s Stoa cultural centre

On September 17, Helsinki announced that four of seven proposals for renovating and expanding Cultural Centre Stoa in Itäkeskus would advance. According to the city, the jury selected the same four entries that topped the residents’ vote, which drew more than 600 votes and 81 comments.

Residents valued brightness, openness and environmental responsibility. The article does not establish the exact selection date. This was an announcement about shortlisted designs, not completed renovation work.
