Cleaning and learning beside the Bebedero River

A community cleanup took place in Bebedero, Costa Rica, on September 18. Delfino.cr reports that 38 people collected rubbish near the river and in shared spaces, while 40 local schoolchildren joined an environmental learning activity.

The initiative, Bebedero Yo Te Protejo, links local authorities, community groups and businesses. A university research team’s January 2020 account also describes joining discussions about protecting the area’s environment and community life. The latest cleanup and lesson form another day in that continuing local effort.
