Names and working lives in Slovenia’s older generation
In a September 29 release, Slovenia’s statistical office, SURS, described aspects of older residents’ lives. At the start of 2026, 481,057 residents were aged 65 or over, representing 22.5% of the population. Franc was the most common male name in this generation, and Marija the most common female name.
